Can I try an LLM judge API without signing up?
Can I try an LLM judge API without signing up?
Yes. https://screwtape.ai/try/ runs Screwtape.ai's judge and consensus in your browser with no account. A token there allows 3 calls for about 30 minutes, each network gets 3 demo calls per UTC day, and responses carry engine: "demo".
What you can try
The page pre-fills a task ("State the crew size and launch site."), an output, evidence, and a second answer for consensus. Edit them and run Judge this output or Score consensus.
The demo isn't a public API: its token only works from the screwtape.ai origin, and everyone shares a cap of 300 demo calls per day. For code, get a free key (100 calls per UTC day) or pay per call with x402:
# after getting a key at https://screwtape.ai/signup/
export SCREWTAPE_API_KEY=...
curl -s https://screwtape.ai/v1/judge -H "Authorization: Bearer $SCREWTAPE_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"task":"State the crew size.","agent_output":"The crew size was 4.","evidence":["The crew size was 4."]}'FAQ
Do demo calls count against a key?
No. engine demo calls are not counted in per-key usage, and the allowance doesn't carry over to a key.
Which model does the demo use?
The page says it calls the API on the free Groq tier.
What happens after 3 calls?
Get a free key: 100 calls per UTC day, email and name optional.
